Glendale dominated the first 55 minutes of the match going up 5 - 0 on a nicely take try by wing Justin Howley. The Raptors camped in the Harlequins half of the field during a dominant first 20 minutes but were unable to finish off many scoring opportunities due to their own errors. The Quins scored on two penalties late in the half, which was a preview of things to come.

The second half saw the Raptors continue to press the attack but numerous Glendale turnovers resulted in great conter attacking by the Harlequins as they scored six tries in the second half to win going away 43 - 10.
