Glendale, Co., April 3 -- The Men Raptors scored 17 unanswered points in the first 30 minutes of their game at Infinity Park here Saturday for a 62-29 victory over the Boulder Rugby Football Club. The win clinches the team a spot in the Division I Playoffs set to be played at Infinity Park on May 8.
The Raptors got on the scoreboard quickly scoring their first Try and two-point Conversion Kick in the first three minutes of action. Anxious to seal the deal, Glendale added another seven points before the 10-minute mark and then elected to go to post increasing the lead 17-0 in the first 15 minutes of play. The Raptors led 24-7 at halftime. After 60 minutes of play the Men Raptors led Boulder 43-12. Boulder scored two Tries late and the Raptors added another to make the final score 62-29. The Men Raptors fell to Western Rugby League rival the Gentlemen of Aspen in their home opener on March 6, the only loss of the season. Raptor DII men play next weekend (April 10) against Colorado Springs here at Infinity Park.
