| Men Raptors Rock After Slow Start |

GLENDALE, CO., Sept. 13 – In the very early going, the atmosphere begged for a grind-it-out rugby game. Well, it was for the first 15 minutes, anyway. The Lady Raptors game against Austin was cancelled. Both the Women and Men Raptors compete in the nationally famous Aspen Ruggerfest in Aspen next weekend. The Women will next fact the Kansas City Jazz at Infinity Park, Glendale, at 11 a.m. on September 27. The men take the pitch at 1:30 p.m. to face the Highlanders. The Men Raptors are the nation’s second-ranked team. The women’s national championship game will be played at a yet undetermined location on November 1. Until then the Lady Raptors biggest home game is the Kansas City Jazz game on September 27. Glendale is the first city in the country to adopt rugby as its official sport and Infinity Park is the first Rugby specific stadium. |
