Match Overview
Glendale ran out winners against the Albuquerque Aardvarks Saturday 86 - 7. In what turned out to be a bit of a track meet, the Raptors build a 45 - 7 lead at the halfway point to ultimately cruise home winners against the visiting Aardvarks. The Aardvarks and the Raptors forged a club relationship when the Glendale club was first organized in the fall of 2006. Since then the Raptors made the move to division one, competing in the 2008 National Championship final, while the Aardvarks competed in the division two finals at the 2009 National Championship. Both clubs were surprised at the outcome of the day's match. On the day, Glendale number eight, Nick Tipton ran in a record five trys, while flanker Nicanor Puppo, centers Nate Yannacone and Mike Graham each had two trys apiece. In addition Graham kicked eight of fourteen conversions. The Raptors complete fall league play next Saturday, October 31 against the strong Kansas City Blues at Infinity Park at 2:00 PM. The University of Arizona challenges the University of Colorado in the early match at 12:00 PM.
