The Glendale Raptors Women's Division I team closed its regular season play with a shutout performance against the Chicago Women under cold and rainy conditions at Infinity Park Saturday.

While the Chicago team did turn over possession several times with their powerful counter-rucking, they were unable to convert possession to points. Glendale showcased their dynamic pattern of play, with three of eight trys coming from turnovers. Despite the adverse conditions, the Raptors were able to move the ball around the field well and found the hands of their speedy back triangle. Tyra McGrady, Gabe Fidelam and Andrea Prusinski all found the corners of the try zones for six tries total and the midfielders Hannah Stolba and Bethany Humphrey totaled three.

Stolba added four conversions in the Raptors' sixth-consecutive bonus-point victory.

Captain and tight head prop Sarah Wilson put in a stellar performance in the contact area, and hookers Carolyn Fabrizio and Kimberly Klahn were spot on at every line out. Potter and lock Taryn Brennan were destructive at the restart, stealing several of Chicago's throw-ins.

The Raptors now begin final preparation for the Women's Senior Club Division I Playoffs in Austin, Texas on Oct. 29 and 30.

Earlier in the day, the Raptors Women's DII team dropped a tough match to last year's national DII finalists, the Atomic Sisters. The DII side has qualified for the West Women's Club Division II Championship on the strength of their previous performances. They will travel to Norman, Okla. from Oct. 22 to 23, where they will compete with the top teams from each division for a single spot at the Division II National Championship.
