Match OverviewThe Lady Raptors faced Black Ice in a game between 2 cross town rivals. Where these games are always a must to see. The Raptors game out flat and sloppy in the first half against a determined Black Ice team. Black Ice got on the board first with a penatly goal by Bree Alexander. Most of the first half was dropped balls and penalties for both sides. The Raptors finally got on the board late in the half with a try by Hannah Birge. 5-3 Raptors going into half. During the second half, the Raptors started to put together some good support play that resulted in 4 tries in the second half by Parisa Asgharzadeh, Kathryn Pavao, Tess Armstrong and Jenna Anderson. Karla Leopold converted one try to leave the final score at 27-3. "I give it to Black Ice, they cam e out hard and never gave up. I'm impressed by their improvement and look forward to our next meeting," Coach Wendy Cook said. The Lady Raptors play in the Competitive Region Playoffs next weekend in Glendale. Games are at 10 and 12 at the Park on both Sat. and Sun. |
